COURSE DESCRIPTION:​
Due to the swiftness in which violence and emergency situation unfold, we must know how to prepare ourselves, our co-workers, families and communities. This course will focus on how to be prepared and gain the skills needed to prevent, recognize and increase your ability to survive during and such incident. AVERT training program is intended for a general audience and increases survival and save lives. The program includes cognitive information and participation in activities that help to prepare participants for possible active violence events and how to react to improve the likelihood of survival. The goal of this training program is to help participants develop the knowledge and confidence to react quickly if active violence should occur.
